Today “Bikers for Ta-Tas” is a committee steered not-for-profit organization highlighted by an annual fund raising motorcycle ride for Breast Cancer awareness and screenings in Central Illinois. Nancy founded the motorcycle ride in 2008 with just 15 riders. In 2014 over 1,700 bikes gathered in Bartonville with more than 2,100 people participating in the event! One thing drives them all. Each year the ride is between 130 and 150 miles in the hot sun. The goal this year (2015) is to raise over $55,000 to help under-insured or uninsured women get the education and screenings they need. Parked at ride headquarters, the Methodist Mobile Mammography van will provide free qualified screenings through the day Saturday. The van from Methodist Medical Center serves an area with a radius of over 100 miles, almost the distance the motorcycles on the ride will cover.
